Based in Alexandria, Virginia, Sagres Construction Corporation has provided Federal, State and Local Governments with construction services since 2000. The Prince William Board of County Supervisors awarded a more than $14.4 million contract to begin work on the next leg in the U.S. 1 widening project. The initial work of moving utilities underground and installing a waterline will be conducted by Sagres Construction Corp.
The County Board is now set to award Sagres Construction Corp. a contract for the work needed for the “west” portion between N. Monroe Street and N. Kenmore Street. Construction could then begin next spring and then wrap the following summer.
The Board voted unanimously, in adopting the Consent Agenda, to approve a contract with Sagres Construction Corp. for Phase 3A of the Wilson Boulevard Streetscape Improvements Project, which is improving one of the County’s most heavily traveled east-west arterial streets.
